This is my way of painting a warpstone, now if you’re looking for the easiest way or the fastest way of painting one well you’re in the wrong place coz the way i paint them really takes some time and patience but the end result is gonna be awesome.
these are the paints that you’ll need(im using vallejo here so go to a vallejo to GW paint conversion site or whatever to figure it all out):
- VMC german bright camo green
- VMC lime green
- VMC dark yellow
- VMC deep yellow
- VGC off white
- VGC green ink
1. Under coat with black spray paint( or whatever it is that you use).
2. Apply base coat VMC brighr camo green.
3. Once it dries apply a green ink wash.
4.highlight with the base coat VMC bright camo green.
5. apply a 50:50 mix of bright camo green and lime green and paint it on the raised areas of the stone.
6.Green ink wash again. Were doing this to have a smooth transition between the highlights.
7.now highlight the raised areas with only lime green.
8.green ink wash again and once it dries apply a 50:50 mix of lime green and dark yellow.
9.another green ink wash and once it dries high light the raised parts with only dark yellow.
10.highlight again with a 50;50 mix of dark yellow and deep yellow.
11. green ink wash and then highlight with only deep yellow.
12.green ink wash and then apply a mix of 50:50 deep yellow andd off-white.
13.Green ink again and then highlight the raised parts with off-white.
14. apply another green ink wash and then put tiny off-whites in the raised adges of the stone( use a very fine brush or toothpicks for this) and there you have it a finished warpstone.
